Person who is seeking a career shift or someone who is aspiring to become a technician
Get paid while receiving your associate degree for HVAC at Manchester Community College (1,050 hours)
Dowling will pay for ½ of the associates degree for those who have passing grades
Receive benefits as if you were a full-time employee
Paid hourly while you are in the classroom
Apprentice will report to work on non-school days
8,000-hour training program with an educated technician
Service Technicians
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install HVAC and related equipment as assigned
Capability to handle a large amount of calls maintaining a commitment to quality
Uses proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting
Responds to customer complaints with both sympathy and empathy
Ability to accurately determine priorities: following the planned call schedule and having the proper tools and materials to complete tasks at the job site
Reliability and trustworthiness are key
Obtain necessary licenses and certifications
Install Technicians
Commit to quality installation standards
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate power and hand tools safely
Ability to safely lift in excess of 50 pounds
Demonstrate competence with refrigeration equipment, gas furnaces, roof top units, and boilers

Ability to manage training techs paperwork including time sheets, completed work orders with customer signatures, equipment model and serial numbers, parts with correct part numbers and pricing, and any purchase order or job number required by the customer
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed
Be responsive to coaching and service development needs
Establish training priorities to advance skillsets
Provide leadership in bringing focus to Dowling’s policies and procedures
